When you list an item for sale on Etsy you will be charged $0.20 for each listing. So if you add 10 listings and do not make a sale you will be charged $2.00 to add your item to the Etsy marketplace. Every time you make a sale on Etsy the seller will be charged again for this listing fee to be renewed. For example, if a customer buys 4 items you will be charged $0.80 if you have these items listed to be automatically renewed

Etsy will then charge a further transaction fee of 6.5% per item price for each sale made. This percentage does include shipping and gift wrapping charges. These fees are not included within your sales tax if you are based within the USA or Canada.

Etsy fees are deducted from your account automatically when you make a sale. However, if you have not made a sale your listing fees and ads will need to be paid via the card you have on file on Etsy.

The time it takes you to make your products will be super important to how much you charge your customers. If you undercharge for your products you will resent making your products in the future when your shop becomes busy. Digital products do not need to include this metric in the Etsy fee calculator.

5. If your item is physical you can then enter the time it takes you to create your item. This will then calculate your profit per hour depending on your total profit. 

The Etsy seller fees are 6.5% of your revenue as part of the transaction fee of the full cost of the item. This includes shipping costs to the customer. Payment processing fees are in addition to this fee depending on your country.
